October 2021

Our faccilities are now fully open & we do request all customers use the hand sanitiser stations provided at each doorway to the facilities, waste & recycling bin locations and outside reception

Anti-viral wipes are also provided in the toilet/shower block

Please also maintain social distancing requirements at all times

Thank you!!

May 2021

As of 17th May our toilet & shower block is now open on a restricted, single occupancy basis only to be compliant with current social distancing requirements.

A wristband system is in operation and we ask all guests to be careful and observant of current policies.

Each pitch has its own private water and electric supply and all caravan pitches have private grey waste points which are sanitised between changeovers.

Hand sanistiser stations are positioned in communal areas i.e. the toilet block, recycling & general waste bin areas. Please ensure you use these before & after using the communal area facilities.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE NOT PERMITTING VISITORS ON SITE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. ANYBODY ARRIVING ADHOC WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE - SORRY BUT WE NEED TO REMAIN COVID SECURE PROTECTING OUR CUSTOMERS IN THESE DIFFICULT TIMES.

GREAT NEWS - March 2021

Following the latest Government announcement we are delighted to report Campsites & Caravan Parks have been given a planned re-opening date of 12th April subject to certain targets & criteria in respect of COVID-19 being met.

HOWEVER, shared and communal areas are not permitted to open until 17th May at the earliest and therefore our toilet & shower block will remain closed until such time we are permitted to reopen it.

Customers will therefore need to use their own on-board facilities during this time.

PLEASE NOTE: Our separate "Disabled" facility will be open for single occupancy only. Customers will need to have a Blue Badge & book the facility in advance, subject to availability.

TO REDUCE THE RISK OF DISEASE TRANSMISSION FROM CONTACT, WE HAVE MADE A FURTHER SIGNIFICANT INVESTMENT IN PROVIDING A PRIVATE WATER SUPPLY POINT TO ALL TOURING PITCHES & PRIVATE GREY WASTE POINTS TO ALL CARAVAN/MOTORHOME PREMIER & SUPER PITCHES.

Whilst we remain uncertain about the effect & impact of COVID-19 in coming months we have decided it prudent to close the Park to tents this year.

Coronavirus COVID-19 Update - 1st January 2021

Happy New Year!

With COVID-19 infections rising across the country the Goverment moved Ryedale & the whole of North Yorkshire into Tier 3 in their latest review on 30th December. Regrettably all Accommodation businesses in Tier 3 must close which is devestating news for both us and all customers due to arrive on 31st December & in the foreseeable future

We will post an update when we are permitted to open again

Let's hope 2021 brings some normality back to life & we look forward to seeing you all on the other side!

Meanwhile, we are still taking bookings for 2021 & 2022 so please do contact us by phone/email as usual

Please stay safe everyone, our best wishes to all x

Coronavirus COVID-19 Update - 30th November 2020

Following recent Government updates we confirm that North Yorkshire will emerge into Tier 2 from 2nd December & therefore permitted to reopen in a COVID-19 SECURE manner.

To clarify, all customers must follow Tier 2 guidance when taying at the Park & perhaps most notably must NOT socilaise indoors with anyone outside of their normal household or support bubble. Tier 2 allows people to gather in groups of up to 6 outdoors

Regrettably, we must advise we cannot accept any bookings from customers in Tier 3 areas

Stay safe everybody x

OUR TOILET & SHOWER BLOCK IS OPEN WITH RESTRICTED ACCESS - PLEASE SEE BELOW OR CALL FOR FURTHER INFORMATION

Coronavirus COVID-19 Update - 2nd November 2020

As the Government has instructed all non-essential businesses to close ot Midnight on 4th November the Caravan Park & Cottage will be closed for 4 weeks, with a planned reopening on 2nd December 2020. Consensus of opinion appears to suggest England will subsequently return to the current 3 Tier system & as Ryedale has one of the lowest infection rates in the UK, we anticipate returning to Level/Tier 1 once we reopen.

Assuming this is the case, in the short-term we will not be able to accept customers from Tier 3 areas although our booking system remains open for all Caravan, Motorhome/Campervan & Cottage customers subject to our T's & C's together wih any future government advice re COVID-19

However, we are still not accepting tents due to restricted amenity block access

Stay safe everybody x

Coronavirus COVID-19 Update - 22nd October 2020

Please note we cannot accept bookings for imminent stays from COVID-19 Tier 3 area customers - sorry. However, our booking system is open for 2021 holidays

We are still not accepting tents due to restricted amenity block access - sorry

Coronavirus COVID-19 Update - 18th October 2020

GREAT NEWS - WE ARE DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE WE ARE RE-OPENING OUR TOILET & SHOWER BLOCK WITH RESTRICTED ACCESS.

AS WE ENTER THE QUIETER SEASONS WE CAN MEET COVID-19 SECURE REQUIREMENTS ON THE BASIS OF SOLE OCCUPANCY IN EACH OF THE MALE & FEMALE UNITS & THE DISABLED UNIT WILL ONLY BE OPENED FOR SINGLE FAMILY OCCUPANCY

Customers will be issued with a silicone band which will need to be hung on the hooks/board at the bottom of the paved entrance to the facility when using the unit & removed when finished.

If a band is hanging on the hook(s), the unit is occupied & equally if there is no band present, the unit will be available for use

It is imperative that maximimum occupancy is limited to 1 male customer & 1 female customer at ony one time & we specifically ask that customers do not proceed onto the pathway until the facility is available

Hand sanitisers are placed at the hook board & at each of the facility entrance doors which will be left open in accordance with current guidelines. Please ensure hands are sanitised on entry & exit

For the forseeable future the Disabled Facility remains open for single family occupancy for blue badge holders otherwise it wil remain locked for COVID-19 security

PLEASE NOTE:

WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING GUESTS WHO ARE DISPLAYING SYMPTOMS OR HAVE HAD A POSITIVE COVID-19 TEST IN THE PREVIOUS 3 WEEKS

SORRY WE CANNOT CURRENTLY ACCEPT BOOKINGS FOR IMMINENT STAYS FROM CUSTOMERS LIVING IN COVID-19 TIER 3 AREAS

WE ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED TO TENTS

Coronavirus (COVID-19) - 4th July 2020

Campsites are being allowed to reopen on 4th July subject to being COVID-secure compliant

Westgate Carr Farm is a particulary low density campsite & pitches are extremely spacious with large open areas and very few communal areas and we therefore consider the risk of disease transmission to be extremely low

The safety and well-being of our customers and staff is of course paramount and whilst we await further advice from the Government from the outset it is quite clear that we will not be able to meet the revised social distancing requirement of 1 metre plus on the access to & within the toilet/shower/amenity block and therefore with regret these facilities will remain closed for the forseeable future

We do however plan to open our separate & single occupancy "disabled facility" which will be kept locked with access strictly limited to 1 unit only who is/are disabled and without their own suitable on board facility. We cannot allow multiple occupancy - PLEASE CHECK AVAILABILITY BEFORE BOOKING

With this in mind please note that we are NOT accepting reservations/bookings for tents and campervans that do not have on board toilet and washroom facilities until it is deemed safe to reopen the amenity block

As a leisure business we have been advised to remove all non essential items to reduce the risk of disease transmission and therefore our information hut with tourist leaflets etc will remain closed and we have removed ALL picnic benches from both communal areas and SUPER PITCHES alike.

Due to social distancing requirements our new, short Woodland Trail is also CLOSED

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience these safety measures may cause

During lockdown we have installed new fresh water and grey waste disposal points on a number of pitches for further protection, reducing the impact on communal areas

Landfill and recycling bins will be spaced well apart and it will be a requirement that all customers wear plastic gloves when using the bins and Toilet waste point

Sanitiser dispensers have been installed in these areas for added protection and we will of course instigate a rigourous cleaning regime of these communal areas

Please note we have introduced a no handshake policy, a minimum 2 metre social distance policy and we are NOT accepting cash payments during this time. Fees will need to be paid by bank transfer or card

PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO COVID-19 SECURE REQUIREMENTS CUSTOMERS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO INVITE GUESTS TO THE PARK AT THIS TIME

We must stress that to protect us (2 of us are in the high risk category) and our customers, we insist that everybody washes their hands with soap & hot water (or sanitiser) in accordance with current guidelines, before and after all contact with electric boxes, taps, door handles. lids etc

Thanks for your support in this very difficult period

STAY SAFE x
