Re-Opened 2013 Following Change Of Ownership
Idylically located in the Vale of Pickering, a quiet country lane connects the farm campsite to the South West fringes of Pickering, the official gateway to the North York Moors National Park, often referred to as the Yorkshire Moors
Our family owned campsite is impeccably maintained to provide the highest possible standard & is south facing enjoying lovely open views in all directions towards the Yorkshire Wolds in the South & the Moors rising up in the near distance to the North. The campsite is the perfect location for taking a well-earned, peaceful rest within the tranquil surroundings of our 48 acre farm. An abundance of wildlife can be seen on the camping field, farm & surrounding hedgerows such as Greater Spotted Woodpeckers, Kingfishers, Kestrels, Buzzards, Bullfinches, Goldfinches, Wagtails, Yellow Hammers, Swallows, Swifts, Waxwings, Partridges, Swans, Pheasants, Owls & Roe Deer. During the Autumn, Winter & early Spring we are blessed to benefit from Egrets wintering along the lane & In Our Fields!
Given the proximity to this charming, historic, bustling North Yorkshire market town (1 mile to the A170 & 1.5 miles to the centre) guests can take a leisurely stroll, cycle ride (or very short drive) in to Pickering where an array of independent shops, antique centre(s), cafes, tea-rooms, public houses & restaurants flourish
The town hosts many very popular, well attended events such as the Wartime Weekend, Seasonal & Classic Events at the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway & not forgetting annual Shows at the Showground & Car Boot Sale (seasonal).
