Dalby Forest – Just 7 miles from the campsite a stunning forest site owned by the Foresty Commission where many activities are available. Your holiday will not be complete without a visit to Dalby Forest where a cafe, cycle trails, mountain biking, walks, events throughout the year (Blondie & Lightening Seeds in June 2013!), adventure play areas, Back-in-Time Carriage Rides, bike hire & for the adventurous – Go Ape are all available. Alternatively leave the children at the Park & continue on to Malton (approx 5 miles) & visit the multi-award winning Modern History Museum, Eden Camp. A firm favourite with all ages, the museum is housed in an original World War 2 Prisoner of War camp & is today one of the largest & most comprehensive British Military & Social History museums covering the period from 1914. Flamingo Land Zoo, Conservation & Theme Park is just 5 miles from Westgate Carr Farm & the highest most rides can be seen from the campsite towering above open fields. In addition to the more typical attractions on offer, Flamingoland offers Animal Handling days & Trainer \ Zoo Keeper experience days. Pickering Castle, a splendid 13th Century Castle, that has been a royal hunting lodge, holiday home & a stud farm by a succession of medieval Kings stands elegantly above the town & is a popular attraction – please visit www.english-heritage.org.uk

Lastingham – 7 Miles 
Hutton-Le-Hole – Home of the Ryedale Folk Museum, 8 Miles 
Rosedale Abbey -Simply Beautiful, Visit the Old Mines & Pubs! 12 Miles 
Helmsley – Old Traditional Shops & Castle – 12 Miles 
Scarborough – perhaps Yorkshire Most Famous Seaside Town, 18 Miles
